[Abstract]
This paper takes Meilin trans-urban connector in Shenzhen as an example, explores the route selection and construction strategy of shallow mountain scenic hiking trails in high-density city center. Using analytic hierarchy process and development suitability evaluation methods, the paper selects five factors including terrain, vegetation, land barrier, transportation, and construction from three levels of spatial, ecological, and behavioral, to establish a comprehensive evaluation system and obtain a grading map for development suitability of Meilin trans-urban connector. Combining the land use planning, related protection planning, urban spatial pattern, and landscape cultural resources of the Meilin area, the connector is connected with the urban greenway system and surrounding green spaces, to create a mountain scenic path system and a urban observation system that showcases natural ecological principles in a high-density urban structure.
