广州古城“车歪炮台”乃珠江岛式炮台遗产孤例，其历史背景、地理位置、自然景观和发生在其中的故事，彰显出很高的自然景观价值、人文景观价值。对其进行保护修复，结合其自然、人文基底，将其开辟成以世界和平为主题的遗址公园，是广州保护中国历史名城、培育世界文化名城之必要。

Chewai Fort in the old Guangzhou City is a island type of fort heritage alone in the Pearl River. Its historical background,geographical location, natural landscape and the stories that occurred in it demonstrate high natural and cultural values.Protecting and restoring it, combining its natural and human foundations, and turning it into a heritage park with the theme of world peace are necessary measures for Guangzhou to protect the Chinese famous historical city and cultivate the world-famous cultural city.
