The main purpose of setting up national park is to protect the large-scale national representative ecosystem. Starting from the national representation of ecosystems or biological species, the evaluation of natural resources is the basic work to clarify the Chinese overall spatial layout of national parks and the establishment, construction, management and performance evaluation of individual national park. According to the representative world-class and national nature reserves in Guangdong, this paper compares and evaluates the national representativeness of their ecosystems and biological species, and concludes 6 kinds of the world significance or national representativeness natural resources, which are helpful to clarify the core natural resources conditions of establishing national parks in Guangdong.
